Right back at you cei care credeati ca Volvo o sa mai scoata inca o masina cu fata de S40/C30/C70… Desi pana de curand imi faceam griji ca nu o sa pot deosebi viitorul S60 de modelele antementionate, s- a facut dreptate si belesc ochii cu mare incantare la noul C70, care cica e doar un facelift. Asadar, suedezii s-au hotarat sa-l angajeze full time pe creatorul lui XC60 si sa-i dea bice, demonstrand ca se poate sa ai in gama muuulte masini care sa arate diferit. Dar sa las caterinca si budinca la o parte si sa va povestesc ce stiu eu despre masina asta… Asadar… pozele au fost facute in Barcelona de un user al forumului Swedspeed, care a surprins doua modele in timpul filmarilor si sedintei foto pentru catalogul de prezentare. Se presupune ca acest nou C70 o sa intre pe piata odata cu Frankfurtul din Septembrie ca model 2010. In acelasi stadiu, de supozitie, sunt si eventualele modificari ale sasiului, gamei de motoare si interiorului. Deci e posibil ca C70 facelift sa fie prezentat ca noul model. De aratat, arata cam ca S60-ul Concept prezentat anul asta la Detroit, adica senzational… Aoleu, sper ca nu o sa fie toata gama trasa la indigo cu fata asta!!!

Regele Leu – Peugeot 5008
A trecut ceva vreme de cand „apreciam” formele de dulap cu patru usi ale lui 807 si, sincer, imi pierdusem speranta ca Peugeot ma va uimi in clasa asta. In general, francezii se descurca mai mult decat bine. Linia 308 mi se pare una
dintre cele mai bune de pana acum, iar 206-ele parca nu isi pierde sarmul nici dupa 10 ani de activism in campul muncii. Dar parca lipsea ceva intre atata perfectiune, o masina sublima, dar mare, care sa transforme ratusca cea urata 807 in lebada pe care toata lumea sa o admire. Asta se intampla azi… Desi la prima vedere e o noua ciudatenie venita de sub Turn, 5008 este o masina de familie cu un look deosebit. Este bazat pe 3008 si este un fel de Grand Picasso pentru Picasso, daca v-ati prins ce vreau sa va spun.
Din cate am inteles, pentru a realiza designul 5008-ului, designerii francezi s-au inspirat din industria feroviara, adica din TGV. Si daca va uitati atent si extrapolati anumite detalii, 5008 chiar seamana cu „fratele” lui pe sine, in sensul in care este prevazut cu un bot alungit si aproape plan, completat de cateva linii de forta care unduiesc armonios caroseria
sugerand miscare. Iar daca te mai uiti si la aerodinamica (Cx of 0.29 and Scx of 0.77), inspiratia este clara. Principala atractie a masinii este parbrizul imens de 1.7 metri patrati, imprumutat de pe C4 Picasso si care, cuplat cu acoperisul panoramic, ridica vizibilitatea si habitabilitatea la un rang atins doar de Citroen. Nu-mi aduc aminte de un alt monovolum cu sapte sau cinci locuri care sa ofere un asemenea plafon. Poate doar Kuga-ul lui Ford, un model care se incadreaza insa in alta clasa. La o lungime de 4.53 metri si o inaltime de alti 1.64, 5008 poate acomoda sapte pasageri, dar si un volum de incarcare de pana la 2.506 litri cu ultimele doua randuri rabatate si 823 fara ultimul (deci in configuratie cu cinci locuri).
Sub caroseria asta, care i s-ar parea apetisanta pana si unui sofer de Zafira, se ascund si numeroase gadgeturi care fac viata la bord mai frumoasa. In bordul preluat aproape in totalitate de la 3008 (cu consola centrala in panta – cel mai tare design de la C4 Picasso in coace, dupa parerea mea) se pot aseza unul din doua sisteme noi de navigatie, un head up display, un radar pentru mentinerea distantei fata de masina din fata, dar si Snow Motion. Snow Motion este un modul electronic ce asigura o mai buna tractiune pe suprafete acoperite cu zapada.
Sub capota avem tot felul de motorizari, ca pentru toata lumea. Avem doua variante de putere pentru 1.6 litri benzina (120 si 150 de cai) si patru dieseluri de 1.6 si 2.0 litri (de la 110 la 163 de cai).
